The faith of the land
The Ilvaric Vigil
Ilvara gave her body as cindrels. Use them with gratitude, waste none, and keep the lights burning.
The Vigil reads the Fall as a holy sacrifice. Its lamplighters serve in every lighthouse chapel, and its great chapel stands above the harbour of Caerlune.
- Deity: Ilvara, the Kindled Star.
- Holy day: Kindling Night, the anniversary of the Fall.
- Magic: blesses Brandwork and teaches it as communion.
- Allies: the Wickwardens; publicly funded by the Aurel Combine.
- Extremists: Combine preachers who say that hoarding cindrels is Ilvara's will.
- Cleric domains: Light, Life.
Most islanders pray to Ilvara on land and to Morrow at sea, and see no contradiction in it.
