Fiend Patron — Warlock Subclass

The Fiend warlock struck their bargain with a lord of the Lower Planes — a pit fiend, a balor, an archdevil or demon prince whose gifts come wrapped in fire and appetite. The power is enormous and immediate: blasts of hellish flame, curses that bend the will, and a dark vitality that feeds on death itself. But nothing from that quarter is ever truly free, and every warlock of the Fiend carries, somewhere, the awareness of a debt still accruing interest.

It is the most aggressive and self-sustaining of the pacts. A Fiend warlock grows stronger with every enemy that falls, drawing temporary life from the carnage; they twist luck in their own favor, shrug off whatever element last threatened them, and, at their peak, hurl a foe screaming through the Lower Planes to return broken and reeling. Theirs is a bargain of raw, greedy power — the kind you take with eyes open, and pay for later.

Patron Features

Warlock Level	Feature
3rd	Fiend Spells, Dark One's Blessing
6th	Dark One's Own Luck
10th	Fiendish Resilience
14th	Hurl Through Hell

3rd Level

Fiend Spells

Your patron keeps a suite of spells always ready: Burning Hands, Command, Scorching Ray, and Suggestion at 3rd; Fireball and Stinking Cloud at 5th; Fire Shield and Wall of Fire at 7th; and Geas and Insect Plague at 9th — hellfire and domination in equal measure, the classic tools of a devil's chosen.

3rd Level

Dark One's Blessing

Death feeds you. Whenever you reduce an enemy to 0 Hit Points — or an enemy within 10 feet of you is dropped by someone else — you gain Temporary Hit Points equal to your Charisma modifier + your Warlock level. In a busy fight, the bodies pile up and so does your borrowed vitality, keeping you standing where a d8 caster shouldn't.

6th Level

Dark One's Own Luck

You can call on your patron to tilt fate. When you make an ability check or a saving throw, you can add 1d10 to the roll — after seeing it, but before it resolves. You can do this a number of times equal to your Charisma modifier per Long Rest, turning a hair's-breadth failure into a success exactly when it matters.

10th Level

Fiendish Resilience

You harden yourself against whatever last hurt you. Whenever you finish a Short or Long Rest, choose one damage type other than Force; you have Resistance to it until you choose a different one. A warlock who is never quite vulnerable to the same thing twice.

14th Level

Hurl Through Hell

You can drop a foe straight into the Lower Planes. Once per turn when you hit a creature with an attack, it must make a Charisma saving throw (DC 8 + your Charisma modifier + your Proficiency Bonus) or vanish into a nightmare — taking 8d10 Psychic damage (if it isn't a Fiend) and returning Incapacitated until the end of your next turn. Once used, you recover this on a Long Rest, or by spending a Pact Magic slot.
