Light Domain — Cleric Subclass

Light is the most visible of the divine gifts and the least forgiving. Its clerics serve the sun's double nature — the warmth that reveals and the fire that consumes — and they wield both without apology. In their hands radiance is not a metaphor but a weapon: a flare that spoils a killer's aim, a burst of dawn that scours away the dark and everything hiding in it, a corona that leaves the wicked nowhere to stand.

To follow this domain is to refuse concealment, in oneself and in others. The Light cleric drags secrets into the open and burns away illusions, trusting that truth revealed is already half its own victory. They are a beacon on the field — impossible to miss, impossible to ambush, and, to anything that thrives in shadow, an unbearable thing to look upon.

3rd	Channel Divinity: Radiance of the Dawn
6th	Improved Warding Flare
17th	Corona of Light

3rd Level

Light Domain Spells

Your bond to the domain keeps certain spells always ready. You gain always-prepared spells as you rise: Burning Hands, Faerie Fire, Scorching Ray, and See Invisibility at 3rd; Daylight and Fireball at 5th; Arcane Eye and Wall of Fire at 7th; and Flame Strike and Scrying at 9th — a working armory of revelation and flame.

3rd Level

Warding Flare

When a creature you can see within 30 feet makes an attack roll, you can take a Reaction to flash divine light and impose Disadvantage on that roll — a stab of glare at exactly the wrong moment. A creature that can't be Blinded is immune. You can do this a number of times equal to your Wisdom modifier, regaining all uses on a Long Rest.

3rd Level

Channel Divinity: Radiance of the Dawn

As a Magic action, you present your Holy Symbol and expend a use of Channel Divinity to loose a flash of sunlight in a 30-foot Emanation. Any magical Darkness in the area is dispelled, and each creature of your choice within it makes a Constitution saving throw (DC 8 + your Wisdom modifier + your Proficiency Bonus), taking Radiant damage equal to 2d10 plus your Cleric level on a failure, or half as much on a success.

6th Level

Improved Warding Flare

Your protective light comes more readily and gives more back. You regain all expended uses of Warding Flare on a Short or Long Rest. Moreover, whenever you use it, you can grant the target of the triggering attack Temporary Hit Points equal to 2d6 plus your Wisdom modifier — the same flare that spoiled the blow now steadying the one it was aimed at.

17th Level

Corona of Light

As a Magic action, you kindle an aura of sunlight for 1 minute, shedding Bright Light in a 60-foot radius and Dim Light for 30 feet beyond. Your enemies standing in that bright light have Disadvantage on saving throws against your Fire and Radiant spells and against Radiance of the Dawn. Once used, you can't again until a Long Rest — unless you expend a level 5 spell slot to blaze forth anew.
