The Aberrant sorcerer's power did not come from any dragon or wizard's line, but from elsewhere — a touch from the Far Realm, an alien intelligence in the deep, a psychic seed planted by something that does not think as mortals think. What grew from it is real magic, potent and useful, but it comes threaded with the strange: telepathy that needs no words, a mind fortified against fear and domination, and a body that no longer entirely agrees to keep its ordinary shape.

It is the most unsettling and cerebral of the origins. An Aberrant sorcerer speaks mind-to-mind across miles, casts their psionic spells in perfect silence, and shrugs off the terrors that unmake other minds. At the height of their power they can rewrite their own flesh — sprouting wings, seeing the unseen, oozing through a crack an inch wide — and finally fold space around an enemy in a warping implosion. They are proof that some gifts arrive from very far away, and never leave you quite the same.

3rd Level

Psionic Spells

The presence within you keeps a suite of spells always ready: Arms of Hadar, Calm Emotions, Detect Thoughts, Dissonant Whispers, and Mind Sliver at 3rd; Hunger of Hadar and Sending at 5th; Black Tentacles and Summon Aberration at 7th; and Telepathic Bond and Telekinesis at 9th — the alien magic of the mind and the void made yours.

3rd Level

Telepathic Speech

You can link your mind to another. As a Bonus Action, you form a telepathic bond with a creature within 30 feet, letting the two of you speak mind-to-mind across a distance of your Charisma modifier in miles. The connection lasts for minutes equal to your Sorcerer level — private, silent, and impossible to overhear.

6th Level

Psionic Sorcery

You can cast your Psionic Spells with the mind alone. Instead of expending a spell slot, you can spend Sorcery Points equal to the spell's level — and cast this way, the spell needs no Verbal or Somatic components and no Material components (unless they're costly or consumed). A spell cast in perfect, invisible silence, betraying nothing.

6th Level

Psychic Defenses

The alien presence fortifies your mind. You gain Resistance to Psychic damage and Advantage on saving throws to avoid or end the Charmed and Frightened conditions — the very attacks that would seize another caster's mind finding yours already occupied, and unwelcoming.

14th Level

Revelation in Flesh

You let the aberrant truth surface. As a Bonus Action, you spend 1 or more Sorcery Points to reshape your body for 10 minutes — one benefit per point: Aquatic Adaptation (swim, breathe water, slip grapples), Glistening Flight (a Fly Speed and hovering on spectral wings), See the Invisible (perceive hidden creatures within 60 feet), or Wormlike Movement (ooze through inch-wide gaps and out of restraints).

18th Level

Warping Implosion

You fold space itself as a weapon. As a Magic action, you teleport up to 120 feet — and the instant you vanish, each creature within 30 feet of the space you left must make a Strength saving throw (DC 8 + your Charisma modifier + your Proficiency Bonus) or take 3d10 Force damage and be dragged toward the collapsing void where you stood. Once used, you recover this on a Long Rest, or for 5 Sorcery Points.
